The Sexual Assault crisis Center provides two services specifically for survivors 18 and younger. Those services are the Drop-in Program and support groups for Teen Survivors of Sexual Violence. |

Drop-In Program |
The Drop-In program allows young people who have been sexually assaulted, abused or harassed to get support in a confidential setting with a staff person from the Sexual Assault Crisis
Center. This program is located in local high schools in Androscoggin County and can be accessed through Guidance Departments or student health centers. Students in these schools can schedule an
appointment to meet with a staff person from SACC or "drop in" with any questions or concerns they may have about sexual violence. The Drop-In Program is also a good place for friends of survivors to get
information about how to support their friends. |

Support Groups |
The Teen Survivor of Sexual Violence support group is for young women under the age of 18 who have experienced sexual assault or sexual abuse. (A group for young men will start once there are
enough young men to participate.) This group runs throughout the school year in different schools and covers many different topics. |

How you can help a survivor of sexual violence: Many young people who are assaulted during their
"teen years" think that if they were smoking, drinking, snuck out of their home, or were with people they had been told not to hang out with that what happened to them was their fault. IT IS NEVER THE
SURVIVOR'S FAULT! You can help a young person who has been sexually assault or abused by reminding them of this and letting them know you believe them. |
