FREE!

Did that get your attention?  We hope so, because all of the in-school education programs offered by the Sexual Assault Crisis Center are free of charge.  This is to ensure that money is never the obstacle to providing our children and young adults with the information they need about sexual violence.

Presentations can be tailored to accommodate various time slots (generally 40 - 80 minutes) and include material which is age appropriate for grades 3 to 12.  Requests for presentations should be directed to the SACC Education Coordinator, Darcy Meo at 784-5272 or by e-mail at saccedc@aol.com.

SACC also publishes a newsletter  during the school year for educators.  If you would like to be added to the mailing list, please e-mail us  your name, address, and school name and you will receive the next newsletter this fall.

How you can help a survivor or sexual violence:

The effects of sexual violence last a life time for survivors.  It is common for friends, family members and other important people in a survivor's life to provide support in many different ways immediately after sexual assault or abuse.  However, for the survivor the support will still be needed weeks, months and even years later.  You can help a survivor by letting them know that there is no time limit on how they are feeling and that no matter when they need support it will be available.

Presentations cover a range of topics including:

  • Sexual Assault
  • Sexual Harassment
  • Date Rape
